The Popular Show Campaign 4 Unveils the Soldiers Table

Ever since the premiere of Campaign 4, recently appointed game master Brennan Mulligan has kept fans guessing with deep backstory, a colorful mix of heroes, and a thrilling plot featuring celestial beings, demons, and dark forces expanding in power within Dol-Makjar.

Note: Revealing details for the third episode of this adventure are included.

The Warrior Group Introduced

The third episode finished on a major cliffhanger and revealed the initial group of characters who will branch out from the central cast to embark on their independent quest, apart from the additional parties.

This warrior group includes the determined fighter (brought to life by Travis), the agile character (the talented performer), Tyranny (Whitney), the cleric (Sam), and Kattigan Vale (Robbie).

Why Split the Party?

With 13 cast members, it was obvious from the beginning that maintaining everyone at a single group would be impossible.

This explains, the opening chapters of the new season serve as an Prelude, connecting the characters’ stories before dividing into three smaller tables: Warriors, Strategists, and Questers.

Characteristics of the Combat Party

As described by the DM, the warrior group is for adventurers who prefer a typically action-packed combat and conflict-driven narrative style where peaceful solutions are rare.

Initially, characters like the hesitant healer Wicander Halovar might seem mismatched, but the events of episode 3 make it clear why these five characters are ideally matched for the Soldiers table.

Why They Must Go

To begin with, the group knows exactly where to proceed after a violent initial meeting with The Crow Keepers.

An old friend of Thjazi Fang—whose passing initiated the narrative’s action—manipulated the foes for his own means, breaking into Thjazi’s hideout, attacking Thimble, and taking all the powerful objects to sell off.

Casimir then settled his liabilities and fled to a secure base in the northern region, north of the urban center, with Cyd close behind.

Individual Reasons

Moreover, each adventurer has a individual motive to leave the city Dol-Makjar:

  • The rogue, as the close ally and trusted friend, desires retribution.
  • The knowledgeable figure has experience in the northern area and advises that it is a nasty location.
  • Tyranny and The healer, having disobeyed his house’s orders to eliminate Teor and instead rescued him, have no other options.
  • However, their reputation as key figures in the powerful family could enable the group enter locations they typically wouldn’t be able to.
  • Furthermore, The grateful character pledged a eternal obligation to Wicander for his rescue and will now go with him everywhere.

Wanted and Hunted

Finally, all of them are wanted by the powers that control the city for a variety of reasons, making staying in the city too risky:

  • Thimble and The hero are notorious outlaws.
  • The warrior and The healer betrayed the powerful family and the horde of evil beings they are aligned with.
  • The fighter is wanted dead by the clan.

This results in them few options but to head to Timmony in pursuit of the traitor.

Upcoming Developments

According to the latest episode’s follow-up content, we learn that the combat party won’t be around the following episode, leaving the other eight players to assemble the Questers and Schemers groups.

Viewers can expect discovering which characters will be in which group in the story’s last Overture episode, available to watch on next week.
