Larian Studios Announce a Fresh Divinity, Declaring it Their Biggest RPG to Date
The speculation about The Game Awards has been intense, notably after presenter Geoff Keighley shared a puzzling image of a desert monolith. The secret is finally answered. Larian Studios is working on a completely new Divinity game.
Titled simply Divinity, the game was presented with a daring trailer that included striking imagery, from a figure engulfed in flames to scenes of revelry and the very opening of infernal gates.
Moving Beyond Original Sin
Anyone hoping for Divinity Original Sin 3, this is not that. The studio clarified that a third Original Sin game to its venerated RPGs is not being worked on now.
That said, the developer referred to this new Divinity as a evolution of the main series. This phrasing suggests that the team might be designing a more action-oriented experience rather than another turn-based title. At this moment, this is speculation, as only a teaser video is available.
